OUTREACH

CAHT’s Outreach Program strives to provide a basic understanding of incidence, recruitment, grooming, controls, keeping our children safe, and what we can do to reduce human trafficking in our area.
 



Survivor Services Rescue Backpack
program
—provides backpacks with 33 items a newly rescued victim of human trafficking will need while an assessment and safe placement can be arranged.

The Next Steps Grants—provide awards to survivors who have finished their recovery program and are ready to make the next steps. This might include books and class fees, transportation costs, childcare for mothers with children, or other costs related to gaining independence.
 

Trafficking Free Zone—is a community awareness program to provide information and education to the businesses and residents in our communities. The purpose is to increase awareness in order to prevent potential trafficking situations
 

Legislative Advocacy program – tracks federal and state lawmakers as they work to create and expand the laws that protect victims of human trafficking and prosecute perpetrators.
