VISION: The Campaign Against Human Trafficking envisions a Greater Tampa Bay area free from human trafficking

 CORE VALUES

Safety: Every person deserves to live free from exploitation and harm.

Education: Awareness and knowledge are essential to preventing human trafficking.

Family and Community: Strong relationships and supportive communities protect vulnerable individuals.

Human Dignity: Every person has inherent worth and should never be bought, sold, or exploited

Equality: All people deserve respect, opportunity, and access to support.

Freedom and Empowerment: Every person has the right to make choices and live a self-determined life.

We will accomplish our mission through:

Education

  • Teaching others to recognize when a person is being victimized.
  • Educating young people and others to recognize when they are being targeted.
  • Training family members, teachers, and caregivers on how to intervene when they suspect a person is being targeted.
  • Providing activities that build self-esteem to enable vulnerable children and young adults to resist being targeted as victims.

Support

  • Raising money and providing resources to enable the human trafficking work of primary aid entities.
  • Recruiting volunteers and donors to support the fight against human trafficking.
  • Raising money to assist survivors of human trafficking as they complete the recovery process and begin a life of new beginnings.
  • Partnering with others in the human trafficking space to increase awareness and resources to fight human trafficking.
  • Sponsoring information events and media campaigns to raise awareness about Human Trafficking.
  • Advocating legal and government support to remove traffickers and punish users of trafficked individuals.

We Connect with the Community by:

  • Presenting education and prevention programs on human trafficking.
  • Preparing and distributing rescue backpacks to first responders. These provide many of the items a male or female victim would need to function while a shelter is being located.
  • Donating funds and in-kind items to organizations and schools that support efforts to stop human trafficking.
  • Partnering with other nonprofit organizations to help provide a safety net to keep our children safe from human traffickers.

We are guided by:

  • A commitment to caring and compassion.
  • A desire to help victims become survivors.
  • A belief that we can make a difference.
  • A passion to prevent those who allow trafficking to continue.

We are a faith-based, 100% volunteer nonprofit organization.
