For many years IAC has been a supporter of the Campaign Against Human Trafficking – Southshore (CAHT). A heartfelt Thank You for your generous grant to support our mission.
We applaud our Sheriff’s office and its Human Trafficking Task Force. They have made great progress in identifying, tracking, and arresting human traffickers with the use of AI technology. Increased arrests and subsequent news articles have shone a brighter light on the reality of the issue, fostering greater community awareness and encouraging progress. In addition, legislation is in process in Florida as well as nationally to increase the severity of punishment for these crimes.

This is the second year we received a grant specifically for outreach efforts, and we want to broaden the scope of our efforts this year. We will continue to teach residents about safety measures to prevent human trafficking and identify traffickers. In addition, we will begin outreach efforts to local businesses.

We thank IAC for their dedication to the community and support of the nonprofit organizations who help our families to stay safe and healthy.
